BRITTAIN Boyd O. "Pete" Brittain, 62, south Kansas City, died Feb. 4, 1992, at Research Medical Center. He was born in Viola, Ark., and moved to this area in 1950. Mr. Brittain had worked for the Progressive Manufacturing Co. since 1961 and was a foreman. He was a Marine veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Opal Brittain of the home; two sons, Ricky Brittain, Lake Winnebago in Cass County, and Steve Brittain, Kansas City; a daughter, Nancy Shelton, Harrisonville; a brother, Eddie Brittain, Jonesboro, Ark.; five sisters, Willie Mae Dover, Hazel, Ky., Kitty Watkins, Sturkie, Ark., Lela Redd, Independence, Phyllis Brown, Belton, and Linda Bishop, Salem, Ark.; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Carson Blue Ridge Chapel; burial in Longview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the chapel. Dover, 71, Weston, MO, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 1997, at Eisenhower V.A. Hospital, Leavenworth, KS. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 28, at the Vaughn Funeral Home, Weston; interment in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Friends may call 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Weston United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or Ridgely Christian Church Memorial Fund. Mr. Dover was born September 3, 1925, in Weston, MO. He was a Material Handler for International Harvester in Kansas City, KS, for 30 years, retiring in 1981. He was past union steward at International Harvester and a member of the Weston United Methodist Church. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Franklin Dover, in 1969; his mother, Ellen Elizabeth Simsheuser Dover, in 1973; and one brother, Franklin Dover, in 1996. He is survived by his wife, Natholea Dover, of the home in Weston, MO; two daughters, Carol Porter, Farley, MO, and Connie Riddle, Farley, MO; one brother, Robert E. Dover, Excelsior Springs, MO; and six grandchildren.
