McKENZIE Doris Ellen McKenzie, 97, south-central Kansas City, died April 23, 1991, at Lakeside Hospital. She was born in Guthrie, Okla., and lived in this area for 48 years. Mrs. McKenzie was an assembly line worker for the Manor Bakery for six years before she retired. She was a member of the Bakery Workers union. She was a member of the Elmwood Rebekah Lodge, and the Odd Fellows Lodge and Military Order of the Cootie auxiliaries. She was a member and 1989-90 president of the Pete Dover-Sam Danley post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She was a volunteer at Veterans Hospital. Survivors include a son, John McKenzie, Independence; two daughters, Anna L. "Pat" Gross of the home and Ruby Harless, Rocky Mount, Mo.; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City. DOVER Clarence O. "Jack" Dover, 82, Beatrice, Neb., formerly of Lenexa, died Aug. 7, 1992, at the home. Services will be at 1;30 p.m. Monday at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel, Beatrice; military graveside services will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Beatrice. The family suggests contributions to the Hospice of Gage County, Neb., or to the National Library Service for the Blind in care of the chapel. Mr. Dover was born in Billings, Okla., and lived throughout Kansas and in Lenexa from 1969 until moving to Beatrice in 1988. He was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service until retiring in 1976. He attended Pittsburg State College. He was a Marine veteran of World War II. He was past Exulted Ruler of the Chanute (Kan.) Elks Lodge. He was a member of the Episcopal Church in Chanute. Survivors include his wife, Opal M. Dover of the home; a son, Robert Hoss, Sacramento, Calif; a daughter, Susan C. Roberts, Beatrice; a sister, Thelma J.
