Mr. Martin was formerly employed with General Motors Corp. in Flint, Mich., on the automobile assembly line. Surviving are his wife, Gloria Crawley Martin; his son, Amon Martin Jr. of Clover; his daughter, Tammy M. Dover of Lawton, Okla.; his mother, Desiree Wisher Parker of Pamplico; four brothers, Dude Martin, Donald Martin and Ronald Martin, all of York, and Paul Martin of Blacksburg; three sisters, Hazel M. Thrill of Manning, May M. Evans of Pamplico and Vergie Martin of York; and five grandchildren.
