He was a member of the Ridgedale Church of God of Prophecy. Survivors arc his wife. Mrs. Nancy A. Vaughn of Chattanooga; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Smith of Nashville, Tenn.: Mrs.Helen Dabbs of Chattanooga: four sons. Jimmy E. Vaughn of Chattanooga; Ray O. Vaughn of Coco Beach. Fla.. Joseph B. Vaughn of Chattanooga. Charles W. Vaughn Jr. of Chattanooga; nine grandchildren; one brother. Will Vaughn of Nashville. Tenn.; two sisters, Mrs.Annie Jackson of Nashville. Tenn.; Mrs. Ruby Dover of Fort Payne. Ala. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the West Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Perry E.Gillum and Rev. Davis officiating. Interment will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Easterly McNabb, Austin Hindsley. R. P.Womack. Don Womack. Fred Womack. Charles Lee. The body is in the West Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home. The above is the husband of Nancy Dover Vaughn, daughter of Henry Anderson Dover & America Tennessee Shrader. The presiding Ministers, married my parents, baptized my brother and I and God knows what else within my family. I did not know some of this till today when I got the preceding obituary. I had for sure not known that Ruby Dover was a Vaughn by birth. I am not sure who she married that was a Dover. I will try to find out from a grand-daughter of Charles though. The person listed as Easterly McNabb is actually Eastley Ireland McNabb, who was Charles nephew being the son of Martha E. Dover McNabb and wife of Fred McNabb whos' obituaries will follow. Eastley was the best man at my parent's wedding in 1953.
