The Walker County Heritage Book contains an article by James C. Parker on the Jacob Goodson family. Barbara Matilda Goodson, eighth child of this family, born August 15, 1845, died March 21, 1925, married her first cousin, John Goodson (1841-1921), son of Larkin Goodson and Elizabeth Dover, on September 30, 1864. They are buried in Cherokee County, TX. Their children were: William N., Ludy M., Jacob Watson, Martha A., George Gillum, Buddie, John Larkin, Darsie, Joe, and Jennie Nevada. Marjorie Dover Stansel
