I leave to my wife Mary, all my real and personal estate, except my negro boy "Cesar," while she lives and remains my widow, and no longer. After her death "all the estate is to be sold at publick vendue, and divided among my children, Eliakim, Andrew, Peter, Abraham, Angel, Amy, Silvia, and Frances. I leave to my eldest son, Eliakim, a cow and a heifer. The negro boy "Cesar" is to serve 7 years, and then he is to receive "a suit of clothes fitting for a negro," and to be made free. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dated November 3, 1728.
