I found Floyd Dover in 1920, still in Union County, indexed as Floyd Dovet. Instead of searching for all Dover members (which I had already tried), I searched for a person with no last name but with Floyd as the first name, living in Union County, Georgia. I got several hits but quickly realized that Floyd Dovet was the one. Floyd is listed as Floyd D. Dover, age 52, his wife is listed as Genett, age 44. Their children at home are: James W., age 25 Fred, age 20 or 22 (hard to read) Joseph, 19 Moodie, 17 Ada 14, Jessie 12 Grady 5 Wilburn (Wilbur) 4 The twins apparently died and two other sons were born after the last census. I found them by dumb luck in 1930. I searched for first names of all children I knew. When I searched for Wilburn, I got a Wilburn Nix. I decided to take a look at him and found Floyd listed as what looks like Floyd Pover(?), but the index apparently says Pricer; I never would have guessed that one. I also found Adolphus on the same page--only way you can tell is that his wife's name is Streetie (Duckworth). Only the census taker knows what name he wrote for Adolphus Dover's name. Here's the reference for those with Ancestry subscriptions. http://content.ancestry.com/iexec?htx=View&r=an&dbid=6224&iid=GAT626_389-0812 Floyd is listed as 63, Nettie is listed as "Mettie" age 54. Joseph is "Joe" age 29, Jessie is 21, Grady is 16, and Willburn is 14. James W., Fred, Moodie and Ada are no longer at home. I found Fred and Ada in 1930 in Weld County, Colorado (Ault District, near Collinsville). Fred is listed as 31, and Ada is listed as 24. They have been married for 5 years and have two children, Kermit 4 and 4 mos and Roscoe, 2 years 6 months. Both children were born in Georgia, so they had recently moved to Colorado.
