Born in Orangeburg, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Jesse James and John Edith Crawford Dover. She retired as owner and operator of Joyce's Beauty Shop. She founded Bible Holiness Church of Grover and served as pastor for 16 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald L. Webber; a son, Michael Hoyle; and a brother, Don Dover. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Dale Watkins of Grover; two sons, Johnny Hoyle of Kings Mountain and Donovan McEntyre of Grover; five brothers, Jimmy Dover and Charles Dover of Gaffney, S.C., Johnny Dover of Welford, S.C., Jerry Dover of Kings Mountain and Jack Dover of Grover; a sister, Midge White of Shelby; a goddaughter, Brenda Hudson of Grover; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, with the Revs. Leonard Atkins, Marvin Durham and Chuck Evans officiating. Burial will be in Cleveland Memorial Park.
