William should be William Frederick Dover married to Sarah Blanchet son of Edmund Bryan Dover. If it is, he's part of that big Dover family picture mentioned in a prior post. That William was born 1862 and died 1941. William came to Blount County from Cherokee County, Georgia. Looks like George Blansit would have been William's father-in-law. Blount County, Alabama Confederates in Other Organizations Blansit, George, according to his widow's pension application dated Summit 26 May 1898, George was a private in Company A of the 5th Tennessee Infantry; Mary M. I do not have the Blansit in my files you mentioned Dennis, BUT I do have a lot of Blansit and name variations on my Shrader side. They are all from either Jackson or DeKalb County, Alabama and originated in Va. pre 1800's. They have been a hard line for me to follow and I am afraid I have not focused on them a whole lot. My direct line would be Martha Patsy/Patricia Blansitt, daughter of Peter Blansitt I of Virginia. Martha's son with Daniel Shrader II, who was Henry Shrader would have a daughter America Tennessee Shrader who as you know married Henry Anderson Dover who was my great grandfather. Some additional Blancett information is available at the following site. http://members.tripod.com/Blansett/history/bnusa.html I am not sure if it will be of any use to you or not Dennis. Thought I would share it anyway though in case it was. If nothing else it is a very interesting letter written long ago.
