Bailey got around outside Rabun County. It's probably safe to think he is Uncle Bailey after all at this point. Bailey owned a lot in Walker County, Georgia at or near the time of his death in 1864. I've always wondered how Bailey could own so much property being a farmer. No idea if he ever preached, but he was very active in his church. From Card Index at Georgia Department of Archives and History Dover, Bailey 2nd Lieutenant Cherokee County, April 12, 1835 He would have been about 44 years old at the time. He was also a circuit judge in Rabun.
