Burrell's Creek .... has never been found at USGS or on Google. There's an 1811 York warrant deed to John Carroway (?) for 744 acres that shows Burrell's Creek near Whisenhunt, Houser/Howser, and James Wallace near Kings Creek. The plat map shows the surnames of everybody except one person that's land is noted as "Dovers Land." The Dover Land looks like a big piece of property and has the Rocky Branch and Burrells Branch running on either side. James Wallace is shown. The chain bearers were John & Jacob Houser. This deed was recorded May 23, 1811. Looks like the same deed. -----Original Message----- From: Marjorie Stansel [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, January 09, 2004 3:25 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Dover] References to Dover in South Carolina Archives and History Index The following references appeared in a database search for South Carolina Archives and History (reached through the York County website).
