Cullman Tribune 7-15-1999 Velvie Lenora Dover, age 85, of Cullman, died on Saturday, July 3, 1999 at her residence. She was born on October 24, 1913 to Irsey Earl and Fannie Perall Earl. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Dover was preceded in death by her husband, Luther H. Dover, her parents, a son-in-law, J.C. Shikle, and a grandson, Steve Shikle. Survivors include three daughters, Bobbie Shikle, Melba and husband, Fred Collier, and Marcelle and husband, Louie Overton; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services for Mrs. Dover were held at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, on July 6, 1999, at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Price Robinson officiated. Burial was at Cullman City Cemetery.
