There's another warrant deed in York dated May 14, 1811 for 550 acres on Clarks Fork of Bullocks Creek near Wallaces land. This is the deed that shows Dover's Branch. BODDEN is a neighbor. I think this might be a location inside Kings Mountain near Brown's Mountain, which if true suggests that Dover's Branch may have been old John Dover's location (mill site). Dover's Branch is the northern end of Clarks Fork. I still don't see anything that suggests that this plat location is the same as the previous one mentioned with Dover's Land. -----Original Message----- From: Marjorie Stansel [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, January 09, 2004 3:25 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Dover] References to Dover in South Carolina Archives and History Index The following references appeared in a database search for South Carolina Archives and History (reached through the York County website).
