Does anyone on the list have any information about the parents of Altha A Dover? It is said that she was the daughter of Jeptha Dover of Buncombe CO NC. She does not appear in the 1850 Buncombe CO census when she should have been shown as either a 10 or 12 year old daughter if she is indeed from that household. She married James S H Black "at the home of Jeptha Dover" in Gilmer CO GA. on October 28, 1858. Is there any proof that she married there because she was his daughter? Have not been able to locate her at all in 1850...where was she? Who did she belong to? Would really appreciate help in locating her and proving her parentage. Thanks, bj
