In 1880, there was a 14 year old male A. Dover, age 14, living in Navarro, Texas with James W. Meador, age 21, his wife Mary E. 18, and a son James 1. I originally thought this A. Dover was Alfred the son of Campbell Carter Dover (haven't found him in 1870 or 1880); however, the Texas birth index lists a Delores Ann Dover born December 6, 1931 in Cherokee County, AL to Alfred Lafayette Dover and Ottice Dolan Meador. Must have been Alfred Lafayette Dover in Navarro in 1880. Marjorie Dover Stansel
