    2. I haven't seen much on Mance and this and the 1900 census record is all I can find on him. I do have a note that he died in 1953, but I found no death records to support this: On September 12, 1881, Mance Macklin Dover, b. September 12, 1881, age 31, living on Black Street in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was an auto line welder (can't read his employer). His next of kin was America Dover, Chattoona, TN. He signed his name Mance Dover. He was medium height, medium build, blue eyes and brown hair. Marjorie Dover Stansel

Mance is buried New Hope Cemetery,near Rosalie, Jackson County, Alabama. Source: Chattanooga Free Press Newspaper May 14, 1953 Page 11 M.M. Dover M.M. Dover, retired electric welder, died yesterday morning in a local hospital. Mr. Dover was a native of Chattanooga, but had lived in Cincinnati for 30 years, returning here only two years ago. He is survived by two brothers, W.A. Dover, Chattanooga, and A.A. Dover, California; three sisters, Mrs. P. Gabel, Fresno, California, Mrs. Fred McNabb and Mrs. Charles Vaughn, both of Chattanooga.
