John Franklin Dover is Dover #198 in my FTW file, so I've just updated my records on him and will post what I have (other than the WWI draft form which was recently posted): In 1900, John F. Dover was 17 years old and living with his parents at Pisgah in Jackson County, AL. In 1910, J.F. Dover, 27, was living in Hamilton County, Chattanooga, TN, working as a carpenter, Wife Lillie M. was 26 years old, had had 2 children and 2 were living: John M. and James E. were both 1 year old. In 1920, John F. Dover (indexed as Doree) is still living in Chattanooga, Hamilton, GA. He is 36 years old and a minister. His wife Lilly is 35. They have one son James E., age 10 (He is the twin that survived). I had a note that a daughter Nellie was born in 1916 and died in 1921 of typhoid fever, but she is not listed on this census and perhaps died earlier?. In 1930, John F. Dover (indexed as John H. Doner), is still in Chattanooga (on Kelly Street). He is 46 and a mechanic for an auto company. Wife Lillie is a laundress at home and is the same age. They both married at age 24. James E. is at home, and he is now 21. He was born in Georgia and is a saleman for a drug company. They have a new son, Raymond, age 5. Marjorie Dover Stansel
