From the Pitts Theology Library at Emory University in Atlanta: Dover's Chapel was formerly known as Flat Branch Methodist Church and was organized in 1849. In 1907, the name was changed to Dover's Chapel in honor of Mr. Dillon Dover, "a confederate veteran and a great singer in that day and time."
