Thomas Cross, H. Dover. This must be Hezekiah Dover here with Thomas Cross. I don't think that we have any information about Lot 54 13th District, but we do have on Lot 52 & 53 --- Moses C. Gilham sold to Anderson Dover Lot 53 of 13th District, 250 acres on January 27, 1824, recorded 12/3/1825, Deed Book C, 142. Witnessed by Lott M. Lagwine and Joseph Jones, J.P. William Kitchens of Henry County sold to Lawson Dover of Habersham County on 12/29/1826 Lot 52 of the 13th District, 250 acres, recorded 2/17/1826, signed by Commick McCartan and Joseph Cross (made a mark), Deed Book D 101. ************************************** << "Southern Banner" Athens, Georgia 3-5-1835 Habersham Co.---Sheriff Sale, 1st Tuesday in April next 25 acres Lot # 45 / 13 Dist. . . . .levied as on the property of Francis Dover, to satisfy  executions or fi  fas in favor of Fredrick Weaver. >> NOTE: I'm confused about this entry because of the following --- 13 Nov 1823 Francis J Dover bought 250 acres known as Lot 45 13th Dist. 31 Mar 1829 FJD sold 125 acres of Lot 45 13th Dist to Simpson Dover. 15 May 1834 Simpson Dover sold 125 acres of land -- half of Lot 45, 13th District to Philip Fry 4 Dec 1834 Francis J Dover gave half of the lot of land known as Lot 45 13th Dist to his son Anderson Dover. NOTE: Would seem like by 4 Dec 1834 Francis J Dover would not have owned any part of Lot 45 13th Dist as he had sold half of the original 250 acres to Simpson Dover earlier and gave the other have to son Anderson Dover. Why would they be having a Sheriff's sale in Mar 1835 against Francis J Dover to sell land that he didn't even own anymore? ************************************ KNOWN DEEDS CONCERNING LOT 45 DIST 13 -- Amos Love of Laurence County, GA sold to Francis Dover, 250 acres of land, November 13, 1823, Lot 45, 13th Distict; recorded 3/5/1824 in Deed Book B 142.
