    1. [Dover] Death Certificate for James Madison Dover
    2. Angela & Jeremy Dover
    3. I ordered a death certificate from the state of California for James M. Dover, who I believe is the brother of my great-great grandfather Henry Powell Dover. Remember that from census records, my James M. Dover was born in April around 1836, and appeared in the 1910 census living in Santa Cruz. Here is the information on the death certificate: James Madison Dover b. April 22, 1836, Tennessee d. January 25, 1913, Santa Cruz Informant: H.J. Dover (probably Henry James, his son) But here's the best part: Father: Thompson Dover Mother: Elizabeth Pebern (the last name is a bit tough to read) This gives some good evidence that Dennis's conjecture is correct, and that the Thompson Dover in the 1840 census in Arkansas is the father of the Dovers living with the Gamblins in Ripley Co., MO. I just wish I could find a descendant of James to tie them to me through the DNA. Even though I seem to be of a different line, I thought it might be nice to know. Jeremy

    3. Hey Jeremy, Is James Madison Dover any kin to Thomas Jefferson Dover? I believe they may have been born around the same time. Thanks, Michael A.
