    3. Great news Jeremy. It also helps your indirect cousins and creates some other clues. Roane County, Tennessee is a probable location for Thompson since several of his 1840 census neighbors already connected were from Roane County. I'll send you an e-mail address for someone if I haven't done so already. Dover connects back up the way in these lines; and I believe an older Dover widow was possibly a Martha Webb. Webb and Pyburn are the key lines and I think you'll run into other clues at Sweeton's Cove church records. Thanks for sharing. Dennis -----Original Message----- From: Angela & Jeremy Dover [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, February 02, 2004 5:05 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Dover] Death Certificate for James Madison Dover I ordered a death certificate from the state of California for James M. Dover, who I believe is the brother of my great-great grandfather Henry Powell Dover. Remember that from census records, my James M. Dover was born in April around 1836, and appeared in the 1910 census living in Santa Cruz. Here is the information on the death certificate: James Madison Dover b. April 22, 1836, Tennessee d. January 25, 1913, Santa Cruz Informant: H.J. Dover (probably Henry James, his son) But here's the best part: Father: Thompson Dover Mother: Elizabeth Pebern (the last name is a bit tough to read) This gives some good evidence that Dennis's conjecture is correct, and that the Thompson Dover in the 1840 census in Arkansas is the father of the Dovers living with the Gamblins in Ripley Co., MO. I just wish I could find a descendant of James to tie them to me through the DNA. Even though I seem to be of a different line, I thought it might be nice to know. 3. Marion County, TN is also the most likely location. -----Original Message----- From: Dennis Dover [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, February 02, 2004 5:32 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [Dover] Death Certificate for James Madison Dover Great news Jeremy.
