William Franklin Dover was the s/o Asa Augustus Dover b 1843 & # 2 wife Elizabeth Williams (Asa had 3 wives). Asa Augustus "Gus" Dover was the s/o James Dover / Martha Moss. Martha had 4 children with this James Dover of unknown parentage. The 4th child was actually born a few months after his death. The widow Martha (Moss) Dover then md Willis Dover who was the son of John Dover / Elizabeth __? of York Co, SC. Martha (Moss) Dover-Dover then had 3 more children with # 2 husband Willis Dover. A number of years ago, I was in contact with a lady in Charlotte, NC who is connected to this line who sent me very ample info on both the Dover and connecting Thornburg.
