Follows is the Obit from the Shelby Star Tom and Deb Dover Martha Dover KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Martha Dover, 73, of 308 Fairview St., died Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, at B.J.'s Family Care Home. She was born in Cleveland County, daughter of the late Rufus M. and Geneva King Wood. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Kings Mountain and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a son, Earl Dover; brothers and sisters, Hubert, Richard, Eugene, Billy Jo, Nelline, James and Joyce Wood. Survivors include daughters Susan Carney of Cary and Cindy Cody Gray of Shelby; sons David Dover of Cumberland Furnace, Tenn., and Carl Rippy of Shelby; brothers, Clinton Wood, Jack Wood, and Don Wood, all of Kings Mountain; a sister, Irene Wood Bernstein of Kings Mountain; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Buddy Williams and Wayne Fredell officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery in Kings Mountain. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home in Kings Mountain.
