You may have noticed my name at the bottom of the 37 marker list. Unfortunately at present I have very little time to do any research. The oldest Dover ancestor of whom I am sure at present is William Dover who was born in 1854 in Cumbria. The 1881 census says that his place of birth was Keswick, the registers seem to indicate that it may have been the nearby town of Cockermouth.
