One of my great grandfather's sisters married Dudley Benjamin Bentley January 23, 1879 in Greene Co., AR. He appears to have been born in Alabama. Georgia Ann Dover then married a Dollahite four years later. Can't be sure this is Dollie Bentley Dover, but I'm 99 percent sure it is. Since she died in 1915 that would explain why James went to live with his father in the 1920 census. Found this Dover, Dollie Date: Jun 11, 1915 Location: Bloomington Age: 39 yr Sex: Female Color: W Source Location: City Health Office Bloomington Seems there must have been another son according to school records Source: Monroe County School records 1912 DOVER Earl Born 1901 11 AR Fa; Wilford Dover Mo: Delle Dover Then I found this. .and I know Wiford was the only W. Dover in Monroe Co, IN at that time. Bloomington Daily Telephone December 18, 1913 Shelton Cole aged 18, died at 11 o'clock today at the home of his step father W. Dover, North Fess Avenue.
