Jack, Where does Charles Ancell fit? I believe he was the source of the letter I posted and I couldn't think of it at the time. I know he has (or had) info on the internet. If I remember right he or one of his family worked for the railroad. Cotton Belt I think. My Grandpa was with the Cotton Belt in Paragould, Arkansas. The line changed names a few times (old Union Pacific). I see that Dennis already has the letter from Elmer to my father which I have worked on from time to time for many years, but I had never seen the letter from Marcus that Dennis also was good enough to transmit. My father was very interested in the family history, as I have been, but most of the work he did or had done concerned his mother's Russell family. The article about the Russell reunion was of great interest to me and although I was not there, I do have an 8mm movie that Dad took, but unfortunately with almost no one left to identify the participants. I do have quite a lot of family information, but almost none of it supported by proper records. I also have a third cousin living in Montana who has very good records. My first cousin Mary (Dover) Ancell still lives in Sikeston. Her son is very interested in the Dover family history and I'm sure has more complete information than I do, so we should be able to help. Thanks again, Pam, and I hope this information helps.
