    3. ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Marie Dover Ferrell, 73, of 3147 Skyline Road died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakdale Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Devinney officiating. Burial, with Eastern Star rites, will be at Grandview Memorial Park, Cherry Road. A native of York County, Mrs. Ferrell was a daughter of the late Robert Dover and Lizzie Ann Parker Dover. She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church, was a homemaker and was a member of the Eastern Star Catawba Chapter 1310. She was the widow of Alex F. Ferrell Sr. Surviving are her husband, Albert R. Ferrell; two sons, Alex F. Ferrell Jr. and Dick Ferrell, both of Rock Hill; three daughters, Sandy F. Broom of Fort Mill and Sue Clark and Ann Skar, both of Rock Hill; her brother, Robert Henry Dover of York; her sister, Emma Connolly of York; three grandchildren; and her great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 500 E. Morehead St., Suite 211, Charlotte, NC 28202 or to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 1236 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 or to Oakdale Baptist Church, 1249 Oakdale Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

    3. ROCK HILL - Mr. Alex Franklin Ferrell Sr., 65, of 1570 Barringer Road died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Devinney officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park. Mr. Ferrell was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 111, and was a 33rd degree Mason. He was a member of the Eastern Star Catawba No. 131. He was owner and operator of Industrial Process Piping Inc. for 20 years. Surviving are his wife, Marie Dover Ferrell; his son, Alex F. Ferrell Jr. of Rock Hill; his daughter, Sandy F. Broom of Fort Mill; his brother, Albert Ferrell of Rock Hill; three sisters, Betty Horton of Tampa, Fla., Margaret White of Daytona, Fla., and Ethel Roach of Rock Hill; and four grandchildren. Masonic Rites will be 6:30 tonight at Greene Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
