Please pardon the off-Dover topic but I know a few of you have researched in DeKalb Co., AL Any suggestions on local cemeteries for the Corinth area? I'm looking for a burial for Sarah E. Hare, d/o Isaac & Lydia C. Standridge Standridge (yep, some of that there inbreeding) She was born in 1873, Blount Co., AL, md. Alfred R. Hare (brother to her aunt's husband) in 1890, and became a widow with 5 children in 1915. She's on the 1930 Corinth, DeKalb Co. AL census (Bohannon Ferry & Shiloh Rd) living with her son Vester. Can't find her or Alfred in the AL Death Records. Any suggestions appreciated.

Terry, I suspect you would have tried all of the options I might suggest, but here goes: Vester Hare died in 1981 in Scottsboro in Jackson County, AL. Did you check the property records to find out when he moved there? Perhaps his mother moved there with him. What about a remarriage for her? What about any property records for Vester or his mother in DeKalb County? Looks like they were renting earlier, but they might have purchased property after the 1930 census. Vester's WWI registration statement indicated he was living in Ffyfe, AL. I have some relatives buried at Antioch Cemetery in Ffyfe (1st cousin, once removed), so that's the only cemetery I'm familiar with in that area. In 1930, she was also listed as living at Corinth.
