    3. I wanted to let you all know that I have had some trouble with my e-mail addy and it is finally fixed. I hate to do this, in this way, but it is the easiest way to let everyone know that I correspond with I had accidentally changed my addy when I was loading up the new hard drive with software. If anyone has e-mailed me and it was returned or got no response from me, it is because I did not get it. My addy should be romanek@cybertrails.com like it was before I made the silly mistake. Sorry for any trouble this might have caused anyone. I still have lots to learn. Sharon Dover Romanek

    1. [DOVER-L] Photo Response: Judson Dover
    2. Dennis, thanks for the photo. I'm sure the infant George Dover in the photo is not my great grandfather. He would have been much older in 1901. However, there may be some connections to Judson. I'm just totally in the dark about that. But, I do CERTAINLY believe we are on the right trail with the Banks Co. George Dover you sent earlier. Also, I have a photo of Sara Lou (Dale) Dover, wife of George, if anyone on the list wants to see it. Jeff

    3. The Cartersville Tribune runs some old photos from time to time, and my family saved the photo which contained Jud Dover (and maybe even George?). I'll try to pull this photo out and scan it in and send it to you. The original is at the Bartow History Center. Who George is is a mystery to me, however. >>> <Jeff_Hannah@ndegree.com> 03/29/99 12:14pm >>> Dennis, I think this is a definite HIT. Everything fits with what I know to be fact. Sarah Lou went by her middle name, Lou. And, the children's names are there, as I recognize many of those names. And, I would guess that Fronie Dover might be the brother of George? Thanks so much!! Do you have any of the earlier census records for Banks? Marjorie, who is "Jud" Dover from Bartow? 3. Jeff, Another possible is Frederick and Jane Dover. I don't know if Vickie is still on our list or not (Ardahl@aol.com), but she is someone who has family in this area of Georgia. There's several messages in the archives relating to Lumpkin County and Rabun County that relate to Frederick and Jane Dover who I believe were in 1830 Rutherford County, North Carolina as was Francis Marion Dover. Also check the archives for Vickie's messages. I can forward what I have too. I don't remember ever seeing George in any of the census records that I have for Georgia. That would show place of birth and later would show his parent's birthplaces. I'll check again. It really threw me off. Sorry about that folks. Boy am I embarrassed. It read, Calhoun IN 1917-1918 My Goof. But at least now, I am not wondering why my William H Dovers children showed up in Indiana. 3. Hi Sharon, The following is kinda interesting. Your header states CALHOUN COUNTY *IN* 1917-18. Is this correct? Or is it for Ms? Because my William H Dover, son of T.J. Dover had a Dalton and a Ira. I have my Ira's dob listed as 1882, but Dalton as AUG of 1896. I wonder if this could be his children listed in IN. Since they where born in Calhoun MS. Also, I see a William Floyd listed, William H Dover also had a son Floyd. But I not have much on him, except that he named one of his sons William. I can not follow the link you posted. But I sure would like to find out if the above people are my William H Dovers children. Because it is a awful big coincidence, Can anyone shed any light on the above people. Dennis, a while back, I sent you information on the Hellums line, that lists these children. Do you still have it? I seemed to of lost it when my computer crashed. sromanek wrote: > > I would suggest if there is any information below that might > be something you need, that you go to the site below and > look at the information.
