The only way to reduce gas prices is to reduce consumption of gas. I don't buy gas from the 2 previous mentioned companies and have not for over 6 months. Now I park my car on Friday after work and do not move it until Monday morning for one week end a month. This would work if everyone would give up one weekend a month. Betsy

This is what I have found for Lewis L. Dover who I think was married to Nancy E. Going. Notice the 1870 census neighbors by dwelling number of Augustus McDowell Dover born in Rutherford County, North Carolina per his CSA records. Four DOVER's in a row. Pretty tight group? I show Lynch as the son of Michael and Melinda Dover. He born Bet. 1833 - 1834. He married (1) SABRA ELIZABETH Bef. 1859. He married (2) MARY STRATTON July 21, 1873 in Blount County, TN. He married (3) MARTHA C. MORRIS April 29, 1892 in Fannin County, GA. He married (4) LOU VANIA BAKER 1898 in Cherokee County, NC by J.L. Johnson JOP. He married (5) Dorcas Brawner July 28, 1900 in Blount Co, TN. He may also be the L.T. Dover who married Elizabeth Patterson by Larkin Cardin, JP 5/17/1876 in Monroe Cty (this is near Sweetwater TN). Source Marriage Records of Monroe County, TN 1838 - 1890 page 50 In 1860, Lynch T. Dover was living in Cherokee County, NC (Wolf Creek) with his first wife Sabra E. and their one year old son, William D. In 1870, Lynch T. Dover was listed as age 36 and living in Ellijay, Gilmer County, GA with wife Sabra and Liney, age 4, and Louisa A. age 1. We can assume that their son William died in infancy. In 1880, Lynch is in Monroe County, TN, District 2. He says he is 53 and is married to Mary Stratton, age 19. They have a son William age 5, and a daughter, Lavona, age 11/12. As a 47 year old man, Lynch married a 13 year old girl. They were living with another couple, the Prichards. Lynch was a day laborer. In 1880, Liney was living in Fannin County with her grandmother. This doesn't fit into anyone's tree but mine but thought it might be interesting because of all the gyrations the clues went through. I always wondered if the wife of a next door neighbor to my John Dover in 1850 might be a Dover and unknown daughter of John. That was because the same family was living next door to John's known daughter in 1860 in another county who was in John's household in 1850. This is the one where "seeing" the actual Georgia marriage license proved that her surname was in fact missing from the license (good film). Her name was Luraney (spelled different ways). Next came another clue about this same Bennett family ... they had a grandson named Bailey Dover Bennett 1900-1977. The 1860 census showing the two possible Dover sisters living side by side to two Bennetts sure seemed like it meant something but there is NO Bennett genealogy on the internet that includes Lucinda's husband. Luraney's husbands family is pretty well documented. I finally wrote the clue off but did send a message to a Bennett researcher from this family many months ago. Just got a message the other day that he found another cousin whose uncle has an attic full of old records, a Bible and photographs. In those records so far is the handwritten notes written by Joel & Luraney's daughter in 1907 that shows Joel being married to Luraney Dover and Joel's brother Cooper being married to Lucinda Dover. The writer was 6 months old in 1850 ... and living next door to John Dover in that census. Her mother Luraney was born in 1823 and died back in Georgia around the time of the 1870 census. Another part of the miracle is that the old e-mail was finally answered. That doesn't happen often enough but thank goodness it came from someone who cared enough to share. I wouldn't add this except for the DNA results tugging on me. There is a Bailey Dover and Luraney Dover in the 1834 Habersham County, Georgia Poor School records. The implied ages of those two in 1834 match exactly with the 1850 census ages for Bailey Dover and Luraney Dover. Then off into the fog again with new mysteries. Luraney's sister and brother-in-law, if I make that assumption, were living north of Tupelo, Lee County, Mississippi just after 1880. That's in the same notes I just received. One of Cooper & Lucinda's daughters married someone from the same exact area and were living in the same exact location ... which is very close to some other Dover families.

I was trying to figure out who this person was the son of, and found this census record I thought might help someone on the list. I found a Lynch Dover in Civil War records and was attempting to find out where he was in my records if he was at all. I had one but not this one. It is neat how this census gives not only the state of birth, but the county in that state. I found a Lynch Dover in the 1880 census, who is not this same person, I don't believe and that one is 53 and married to a 19 year old. I will include that record as well.
