Thanks Sharon, these death records are priceless. One hunch is that Caryoln Dover was a descendant of Lawson & Mary Dover. Either you or Terry posted an earlier death notice for a Charles T. Dover that works back to a James & Adelaide Dover who were in 1850 or 1860 Shelby County, Alabama. The earlier death cert has Charles T. My niece Jennifer added my Uncle Emrol Gordon Dover to the list. He is a descendant of William and Alanthey Chambers Dover through their son Frank and his son Solomon Jackson Dover. Emrol served at Guadacanal and Luzon in the Pacific under General MacArthur. He was wounded twice but served until the end of the War. They moved to Greene county, Indiana, July 29, 1832. James M. HICK was educated in Greene county, Indiana. His youth was spent on a farm till 1839, when he commenced to learn the blacksmith's trade, which he has followed ever since. He also runs a first-class ferry-boat across the Wabash river, known as the Durkee's ferry. He enlisted in the 2d Ind. in 1847, under Col. BOWELS, and was in the siege of Palo Alto. He says it was here that the Indiana soldiers were branded as cowards by Jefferson DAVIS. He again enlisted, in 1864, in the 133d Ind. Vols. He was discharged the same year. He was married first to Mary SPARKS, July 29, 1842, and his second marriage was to Mary M. HOLMES, February 24, 1850. His third wife was MARY M. THATCHER. By this last union he is the father of five children, two of whom are dead. His third wife was born May 9, 1832. She is the daughter of John and Elizabeth (WOOD) CARR. Not one of these show up in the 1930 census. There's a chance of finding out more on Dickerson Dover from Rabun County, Georgia. Marjorie, Bob Justus is linked with you and several others on the JUSTUS family. The Arkansas Dover (Caldwell) is in Pope County. I don't think Fleming Dover was even in Mississippi in 1930.
