My Grandparents were Adolph Doucet and Regina Doucette. Similar names but same roots. Adolph was of mixed lineage Mi,kMaq and Regina as well. Jen Thwaites is my niece.The families she speaks of are the Bouchers, Gerriors, Kennedy's, etc, etc. There is a strong connection to the Meuse's, 4 different spellings, and we are directly related to Germaine Doucet, 1635 AD. Lots of family history and I will not give up my traditional hunting and fishing rites and will pass them along to my children.
