His twin was raised by MacDonalds in Maryland. His parents were Effie May Hill and John? M.Doucett, and his parents John Doucette and Jane Brewer. We then come to James Doucette and Mary. and I am still researching from there. But it would not surprise me if it's the same line as my Hugh turns blacker, than black come summer, and we have long suspected some MicMac influence esp as you say so many Micmac are Doucettes. Let me know if anyone has info on this lineage as I am working with a baptismal for Jack dated two yrs after the fact, a Marriage certificate I found online through the archives, and that's about it.
