Developing a list of the Sturminster Pitts as well as any from Pimperne will help immensely. I'm in contact with someone from the Dorset History Center who is researching the earlier parish records for me but didn't want to duplicate work that may have already been done. The wills you listed, Lynne, I recently got from DHC... it was the will of John, Vicar of Sturminster Newton, whose will was probated in 1741, where I found my Charles and his sister Bridget. Turns out they had siblings Betty, George, and a sister Mary who married Jethro Lambert. John was vicar of Sturminster Newton from 1705-1732 and his son George was baptised there in 1712 but the other kids weren't. Before 1705, John was the vicar at Hilton from 1689-1705 so his other kids were probably baptised there. John is listed in Alum. Oxon. as son of William of Pimperne so the earlier parish records of Pimperne, Sturminster, and Hilton are vital. Thanks so muc! h for your help!
