I have recently rejoined the list as my Uncle - a Hyde - has now become more interested in his family history. I am trying to see if I can take his family any further back than I already have plus any more information about his Mother who was living in Sherborne in 1911. Frederick Octavius HYDE (born 1888 in Sherborne but have no Baptism date) married Mary Ann WILSON (who was born in Hull in 1894) on Christmas Day 1913 at Sherborne. Mary Ann was a Nursery maid living at Sherborne School House on the 1911 census. Is there any way that I can find out when she started work there? In 1901 she was a 'Waif' living in Wales and wonder how she came to be living in Sherborne ten years later Fredericks parents were Henry & Susan Sophia JEANES and I know they had 6 other children most of whom I have traced but not all of their descendants. The generations before that are Thomas HYDE 1817 & Jane HUNT and Charles HYDE 1785 & Elizabeth GUY Hope someone is able to help me further Best wishes Marian Scott
