I have Ann's marriage to George & I know she had 3 children before then - Maria B 1827 D 1828, Lavinia B 1832 D 1868, George B 1837 D 1896 Portsea. Ann's 1st husband William Courtney (she married him as Ann Parker in Wool)died in 1833 so Geo was not his son but had the surname Courtney. Ann M Geo Sprankling in 1839 so Geo may or may not have been biologically his. In later years Geo B 1837 uses the name Sprankling on census records & Courtney on certificates. I was looking for George Courtney so it was a long time before I got a breakthrough & linked Sprankling & Courtney (from County Assize records).
