Dear Nigel, I can't find a baptism in Durweston for a John HARVEY / HARVY, but there is the following for Sophia: Sophia KERLEY d/o Richard & Jane on 13 March 1803 @ Durweston. As it was traditional for marriages to take place in the bride's parish, maybe he was from a neighbouring parish. Also baptised at Durweston are: John s/o Richard & Jane KEARLEY on 1 June 1800 Robert s/o Richard & Jane KERLEY on 4 January 1807 Samuel s/o Richard & Jane KERLEY on 30 July 1809 Amelia d/o Richard & Jane KERLEY on 8 January 1815 Ann d/o Richard & Jane KERLEY on 30 January 1820 There are also baptisms at Durweston to a Richard & Mary: Thomas s/o Richard & Mary KEARLY on 29 December 1799 Ann d/o Richard & Mary KEARLEY on 22 May 1803 John s/o Richard & Mary KERLY on 16 June 1805 I can't find a marriage for Richard - I'm wondering if there were two Richards or whether he married a Mary Jane?
