Hi there,  I am new to this list.   My name is Diane and I live in 'Essex so it is not easy for me to get to the Dorset records office so | am hoping that somebody on this list goes there sometimes.   Most of my family comes from Bridport so I am hoping that someone on here will be able to help me with my research.   If anyone has any records of Dorset on disk or elsewhere I should be glad of a look up for my MARGRIE family of whom I will give you details now.      Benjamin MARGRIE was married to Elizabeth LACEY about 1800.   The children that they had were;   CAROLINE 1802 BENJAMIN 1805 JOHN HIDE 1807 THOMAS 1808 JOHN HIDE 1811 CAROLINE 1813 PRUDENCE LACEY 1816 ELIZABETH 1819 JOHN 1821 who married ANN SEAWARD in Jersey   What I would like to know please is this,   didi the Benjamin MARGRIE who married Elizabeth Lacey have any brothers or sisters AND who was HIS father.   Do any of you go to the achives in Dorset to do any research please?  If you do, please could you look up my query for me do you think?   Thank you all for reading this, and I do hope that you can help me with my query as I am on pension and have just returned from the Channel Islands where I found a lot of my Channel Islands side of the family.
