    3. Dear All here is my newest stupid question (seriously stupid) I have a Cecil Helier LEGG in 1881 census as a grandson of David LEGG and Jane (nee HANSFORD). His baptism record gives his mother as Ann Eliza LEGG. Ann LEGG is on the 1881 census -- however, I think this is actually her older sister Jane (the image is very faint) as the year of birth is 10 years off -- the baptism I found for Ann Eliza puts her year of birth as 1859. It says she is born in Burton Bradstock (parents David and Jane) but I cannot find a birth record that appears to fit. Also, I cannot place Ann Eliza with David & Jane in 1861 or 1871 (possibly not even 1881, as mentioned above). By some weird chance I already have an Ann Eliza LEGG c 1858 (but born Wootton Glanville -- where I cannot find a baptism) in my tree, in 1861 she is the "daughter" of Oliver JEANES and his wife Matilda KNELL (married 1852). She has always puzzled me. I assumed she was Oliver's child from an affair/fling but that Matilda agreed to take her on, having had no children of her own -- however she is not with them subsequently. I have no idea how both these "Ann Eliza"s could be the same, but then neither of them seem to be who they are or where they should be ... Is there any chance of enlightenment? Christel
