Hello Ellen, I can't find a Thomas BARTLETT / BARTLET at Marshwood, but have found the following baptism: Thomas BARTLET (sic) s/o John & Mary BARTLET on 1 June 1800 @ Bettiscombe. Bettiscombe is less than a mile from Marshwood. Maybe this is him? I see from the 1841 census that his first two children are John & Mary - possibly named after his parents? A Thomas BARTLET (sic) married an Elizabeth / Elisibeth (sic) WILMOT by banns on 12 December 1826 @ Broadwindsor Witnesses: Daniel & John BISHOP Their children (all baptised at Broadwindsor) appear to be: Mary (11 July 1830), Joseph (also 11 July 1830), Jane (25 April 1832), Sarah ( 20 July 1834), Geturah (27 June 1836), Susan (27 May 1838) and Joseph (28 June 1840). If you think it is him there is a brother: John BARTLETT s/o John & Mary BARTLETT on 23 May 1802 @ Bettiscombe and possible other siblings?
