Ancestry is limited in pre 1837 records. The free site Dorset OPC have details of marriages 1556 - 1812 for Maiden Newton. See www.opcdorset.org FreeREG has some early marriages, but not baptisms or burials listed for Maiden Newton. See www.freereg.org.uk Have you checked http://search.labs.familysearch.org (This is not the main site, but a pilot site which covers some of the details on the BIVRI (British Isles Vital Record Index) There is also the IGI (International Geneaology Index)searchable on www.familysearch.org (But beware - many entries are 'submitted' without any checking and are unreliable to say the least - only accept an entry if at the bottom it says 'Extracted birth or christening record for the locality listed in the record' This means that the details were taken from the Bishop's Transcripts for the parish (The BTs were a copy of the register which were sent to the Bishop, The church of LDS microfilmed them for use as a Geneology Index. Finally: You could try Find my Past (a fee paying site like Ancestry)which has 390 baptisms covering 1774 - 1881, 78 marriages 1815 - 1837 and 270 Burials 1813 - 1817 for Maiden Newton listed. But my question is - If you have details from Dorset History Centre why are you looking them up on-line? The first rule of Family History is to always try to check & use the original records, which in this case are those at DHC.
