I am now able to see where the Mythe cottages were situated in Mapperton in the late 19th and early 20th century, thanks to the old-maps link. If you visit the Old Maps site (link on Mapperton OPC page) (note this is the second Mapperton listed), you can find Mythe Hill to the west of Mapperton. The hamlet was deserted in the 19th C I believe.
