The childs name and the fathers name are identical, but the father had married or re-married in 1911 and was living in Bedfordshire and using the name Andrew Clement Ayres, he can be found on the 1911 census here with his wife Minnie Ayres nee Smith, I have no idea what became of the child in Dorset, or indeed Mary.
