I have a friend living in Dorset (Maureen Day, nee Christopher) who is very keen to get in touch with any present-day cousins. She is a granddaughter of Francis John Christopher (known as John) who was born in 1867 in Moor Critchel. Francis John had 3 brothers, Arthur Edward b 1870, Albert George (known as George) b 1872 and William Harry (known as Harry) b 1877. Maureen is sure that there must be some descendants of these brothers around. The parents of these 4 boys were John Christopher born 1840 in Gussage St Michael and his wife Ellen Ridout born 1845 at Sixpenny Handley. John Christopher had 11 siblings so it seems even more likely that there must be some descendants of these. The siblings were Emma 1841, Charles 1843, Ann Eliza 1847, William 1850, Elizabeth 1852, Thomas 1855, Henry 1857, Charlotte 1859, Frank Charles 1861, Emma Lavinia 1861 and Jane 1863. There are Christophers in Cheselbourne, a hamlet just north of Dewlish. You can find a line of descent from a couple of them through the Gover tree which is very well documented on the web.
