I am trying to find details of: George CONEY who married Susanna JEANS in Stourpaine Dec 1844 (Blandford) from Free BMD Family Search shows father of George CONEY as John and father of Susanna William JEANS. Family Search also shows 1851 Census Susanna CONEY wife 40 in Stourpaine. Susanna CONEY alone shows in 1851 Census, however, I can find no record of death of George. I am trying to find birth of George CONEY (date and place) also details of his father John CONEY (Birth, marriage, burial). Did George and Susanna CONEY hav any children? George CONEY (Bricklayer, Married, b 1806 St Giles) appears in 1861 census as a lodger in Merley, Canford at the home of William Game, Nursery Man. Knowing that Canford is part of the Lord & Lady Wimborne Estate (which also extended to Cranborne & St Giles) maybe he was there doing some work? I believe the 'Lady Wimborne Houses' where built around this time, so maybe his skills as a bricklayer were being used for that? His death appears on FreeBMD in 1868: George CONEY (aged 62) Sep 1/4 1868 Wimborne District GRO Ref: 5a - 161 There isn't any children with them on the 1851 census and as Susanna was abt 34 when they married, maybe they either didn't have any or they died in infancy. George's baptism at Wimborne St Giles is listed: George CONEY s/o John & Jane 16 March 1806. He appears on the 1841 Census with his father & siblings (but no mother) in Wimborne St Giles John CONEY 60 Bricklayer George CONEY 35 Bricklayer Ann CONEY 30 Elizabeth CONEY 20 Caroline CONEY 18 All born in county. John CONEY appears in Wimborne St Giles in 1851 (widower, aged 73, bricklayer, b St Giles), daughter Ann CONEY (unmarried, 40, b St Giles) and a grandaughter Augusta HIBBERD (aged 5, b St Giles) are with him residing at Cottage, Straight Street,Wimborne St Giles. John's death appears to be registered (on FreeBMD) in 1852: John CONEY Dec 1/4 1852 Wimborne District GRO Ref: 5a - 195. Unfortunately I can't find John's baptism or marriage. I hope that helps.
