I have a copy of birth/baptism record indicating his father being Job Jacobs and mother listed as unknown. >From another site the mother came up as Emma. Trying to find out Job (and Emma) Jacobs origins. Possible links to Bettiscombe Dorset, or perhaps migrants from Holland/Prussia. Also there is a location "Jacobs knoll" in Stroud- does anyone know how it got its name? if there maybe a connection to my family. Thanks P.S John William Jacobs had 3 marriages and 7 kids, and also lived in Kent, and later migrated to Australia. He died in Bankstown Australia.
