    3. Like others I couldn't spot either of these two having died in WW 1, however according to the Times, in 1932, a Mr Walter Mortimer Menpes attended the funeral of Grahame Green in Pangbourne So it may well be that he survived. Indeed this is supported by a mistranscription on ancestry of this person who died aged 59 in 1945 Wlater Menpes 1945 Oxford Oxfordshire Mortimer James Menpes died in 1900 in an accident at Joker Pit in Mashonaland in Rhodesia Kind regards Antony Lambert The Hurst Pages www.c5d.co.uk/hurstpages.htm -----Original Message----- From: dorset-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:dorset-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of MORLEY Sent: 15 January 2011 23:32 To: dorset@rootsweb.com Subject: [DOR] WW1 - deaths UK Can anyone please help me with a death in WW1 either Mortimer James Menpes born 1839 Fulham, or his brother Walter Menpes born 1886 Fulham.
