    3. Bonjour Jean-Marie, As both Drimpton & Child Hay are very close to the Dorset / Somerset Border, have you checked out Somerset Parishes for their baptisms? Webber is quite a common name in Somerset, so it is possible that William's parents originally came from there. Crewkerne is only about 4 miles (6.5km) from Drimpton. There is the following baptism: William WEBBER s/o Humphery on 19 April 1747 at St Bartholomews, Crewkerne (Info - FreeREG). I'm not saying this is definitely him, but it may be worth checking on. Did he name any children Humphrey for instance? Sorry, but I can't find anything for Jane under any variation of the name SYMES either in Dorset or Somerset.
