Frederick J MENPES WR/43530 Royal Engineers Sydney MENPES 3427 Royal Horse/Field Artillery Thomas MENPES H/278 Royal Kent Yeoman Thomas A MENPES 27438 Oxford & Bucks Light Infantry William MENPES 178033 Royal Garrison Artillery There are Service Records for Frederick J MENPES - 43530 and Pension Records for Thomas MENPES - 278 There doesn't appear to be any WW1 records for Mortimer, however on Find my Past there is a mention of a record for Mr Mortimer MENPES - War Correspondent in the 1899 - 1902 Boer War which is held at the National Archives WO100series. Many records were lost in the London Blitz DURING WW2 in 1942. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission have lists of those that have died in battle and where they are either buried or memorialised.
