    3. I have just added two new pages to my OPC sites. One is Purbeck Memories http://members.iinet.net.au/~suegar/purbeckmem.htm - created for those to share their memories of any place in Purbeck. I have only one submission at present so would love to add more and I'm sure there would be some wonderful tales to be told. The other new page is Purbeck Biographies http://members.iinet.net.au/~suegar/purbeckbios.htm - a place to read about the lives of the people who lived and worked in Purbeck. If anyone can add to either of these new pages I would be delighted to receive your submissions. 3. Dear Sue - and any other listers I am still looking for the birthplace of James Hamilton 1748-1829. I have come across a couple of Hamiltons in the Purbeck area (Corfe). A William Hamilton was a coastguard but whether he originated down here I haven't found out yet. It would be helpful if anyone has knowledge of any HAMILTONs in Dorset 17th/18th Cent, they could let me know and it would be very much appreciated. sue merkle ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sue & Garry Mills" <suegar@iinet.net.au> To: <DORSET@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, October 10, 2010 3:40 AM Subject: [DOR] NEW Purbeck Subjects > > I have just added two new pages to my OPC sites. > > One is Purbeck Memories > http://members.iinet.net.au/~suegar/purbeckmem.htm - > created for those to share their memories of any place in Purbeck. Author: GraceRoulston382 Surnames: Wyatt Classification: birth Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.england.dor.general/6237.7/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi Kate- I am searching for my g-g-grandfather's birth record. I do know he was born in Evershot, Dorset (as was on his military record) and the year is listed as 1830. His name was Arthur Wyatt (no middle name listed) and his father's name on his marriage record is Thomas Wyatt. The family was living in Dorset at the time of the 1841 census but all but his sister Emma appear to have vanished by the 1851 census. Emma was then a young teenager and living in the Beaminister Workhouse. It would be appreciated if you could have a look at the parish records and see if there may be a record of Arthur's birth. Thanks very much, Grace Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
